Transportation on the Amalfi Coast is a common concern I hear from my clients. Do I need to hire a car to my hotel? What about public transportation options? What if I want to take a day trip to another town? Can I rent a car? All great questions! This post outlines all of your ground (and sea) transportation options. Often the best option differs for each individual, so I’ll be outlining all the pros and cons so you can decide what fits best with your budget and travel style!
With it’s much-deserved reputation for beauty and glamour, Capri is a must see on any Amalfi Coast itinerary. However, all too often this magical island is allowed only a day trip by travelers with limited time or budget. While you could easily spend multiple days enjoying all Capri has to offer, here are some suggestions for how to make the most of just one glorious day!
My awesome friends over at the Rody and Linnelli Show made a lovely testimonial ad for me that will be airing on their podcast. Check it out, and also listen to their podcast on iHeart radio!
I’m in the middle of a long summer without any personal leisure travel plans. (Insert frowning face here.) However, since my younger brother came to Florida to visit us for a few days last week, I took the opportunity to enjoy a short “staycation.” Obviously, visiting Walt Disney World is a requirement for any 11 year-old on his first visit to Central Florida, and it gave me a great excuse to experience the parks and resorts in a way I haven’t in quite some time. We had a total blast, and I picked up a lot of great tips to share!
After all the hype leading up to my Spring Break cruise several weeks ago, I’m pleased to report that Windstar and the Caribbean did not disappoint! I’ll highlight some of the destinations in a future post, but for now, here’s why sailing with Windstar is an amazing experience!
It’s probably not all that surprising to hear that this is a question I get frequently when I first tell people I’ve started a travel business. Frankly, not long ago, I didn’t immediately think to consult a travel agent before planning a trip either. But then I started to think about our Italian honeymoon plans, and it wasn’t long before I realized I would save myself a lot of time and worrying if I just found some professional assistance. Honestly, I have not once regretted this decision, and all my recent education about the travel industry has made it even more obvious that today’s travel agents bring immense value to their clients. I’ve compiled a short list below of the biggest reasons you should consider working with a travel agent for your next vacation.
We’re just back from spending over a week in Pittsburgh for the holidays. Much to Hubby’s dismay, the weather was pretty mild all of last week. I can’t say I was equally disappointed. Pittsburgh has a lot of great sights for the average visitor, but I had just one must-see on my list this year – Phipps Conservatory.
As a year-round resident of central Florida, I must admit that it’s a rare event when I visit a Disney park. In the past few months, I’ve actually been to Disney twice – once during EPCOT’s annual Food and Wine Festival, which is amazing, but a topic for another post, and once again more recently to Magic Kingdom for Mickey’s Very Merry Holiday Party. My visit to Magic Kingdom was driven by the fact that I had some family in town who wanted to do the parks, but I have to say, it was one of my best experiences at a Disney park! Here’s a quick recap of my thoughts on this seasonal event. READ MORE »
I was asked this question today by a friend, and it hit home for me, having only applied for my latest passport several months ago after my wedding. In this day of inexpensive digital cameras and smart phone selfies, the process for obtaining a good quality photo that also meets the government specifications for passports isn’t necessarily obvious to the average person.
Although we were married back in December, Mr. Tum Tum and I didn’t get around to going on our European honeymoon until just a few weeks ago. It was the perfect trip for us since I have been actively trying to get to Europe for a few years now, but our itinerary was slow enough to allow lots of down time for romantic strolls and afternoon naps.
Here’s a brief (ish) recap of our trip as well as my thoughts on our hotels and some of our more memorable meals.
